Armesso's L-Carnitine provides superior effectiveness due to its high purity and quality. L-Carnitine is an amino acid derivative that is an essential co-factor of fatty acid metabolism, through an improvement of lipid metabolism.

During the process of lipolysis, triglycerides are broken down into two fractions; glycerol and fatty acids. These esterified fatty acids have a limited capacity for penetration into the mitochondria because they need a physiological transporter to allow them to perform this step. This transporter is L-carnitine thanks to which the activated fatty acids are diverted towards oxidation and are not used by the organism in the neoformation of TGC (triglycerides), thus having less plasma bioavailability of activated fatty acids. For this reason, it is known as a transporter since its main function is to transport fatty acids to the mitochondria.

L-carnitine deficiency prevents fats from being transported to the energy centers where they are burned. Since fat burning is an important source of muscle energy, L-Carnitine deficiency results in low energy levels and muscle weakness.
